Since April 2014, Paul Peeters works as a Lead Expert within Agoria’s Innovation Centre of Expertise. Building further on the first fundaments of the Belgian Made Different program (www.madedifferent.be), he started creating a process maturity grid for all 7 Made Different transformations. Nowadays, all (SME) manufacturing companies that want to apply for the Factory of the Future Award need to be able to convince a professional jury of the fact that their maturity level on all seven Made Different transformations is at least at level 4 (on a scale of 5).
Besides developing a Factory of the Future assessment process, he also implemented the creation of member company driven learning networks within Agoria as an effective addition next to already existing collective and individually offered services to member companies. The key principle underlying the creation of learning networks is peer-to-peer learning, not in a meeting room but at the participants’ factory locations.
Before engaging with Agoria, he worked as general manager guiding the transition of a Belgian SME manufacturing plastic and aluminum window frames from a family towards a private equity ownership.
His most extensive professional manufacturing experience he acquired working 20 years at different production locations for Philips in following evolving roles :
• Business intelligence manager
• Product manager
• Project manager
• Program manager
• General manager
Based upon the successful conclusion of 4 strategic, international company projects over a period of 6 years, he was certified in 2012 by the International Project Management Association (IPMA) as a senior Project
During that same year, he successfully got Philips board management approval for a strategic
business model innovation plan to create an Open Manufacturing Campus at the premises of the Philips factory in Turnhout (Belgium).

Frank Vanden Berghen owns a PhD in Applied-Mathematics in the field of Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence. Since more than 20 years, Frank is creating predictive models, first as a researcher, after as a consultant. As a consultant, Frank used practically all tools available on the market and felt frustrated because of the limitations of these tools. The question was: How is it possible that the best tools available at that time to do advanced analytics where tools developed by hobbyist during their free time in their garage? So, in 2007, Frank decided to create the most advanced tool for AI & predictive analytics on the planet. TIMi was born. Since now more than 10 years, Frank and his team are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible to do with a computer, to boldly go where not dataminer has gone before. Using his tool, Frank is a recurrent top winner at Kaggle and KDD cups.
